AC Transit performance — weekly

System summary

On time = arrived at the scheduled time, up to 3 min late (0 ≤ delay ≤ 3 min).

Early = before scheduled time. Late = more than 3 min after schedule.

All stop arrivals across the 7-day window, weighted equally — i.e. a busy weekday counts more than a sparse Sunday.

Cumulative on-time at looser thresholds

Same numerator (arrived at-or-after schedule), but counting anyone who arrived within the larger window.

Delay distribution (1-min buckets)

Each bar = one whole-minute bucket of the schedule-vs-actual delay, counted across all observed stop arrivals in the week.

Outliers beyond −15 min or +45 min are clamped to the boundary buckets.

Schedule compliance

Sum of trips and eligible passenger stops across all 7 days. Trip delivery measures trips observed running; On Time Service Delivered measures scheduled intermediate pickup stops reached within the −1 to +7 minute rider window. Both are recomputed from week totals rather than averaging daily percentages.

Seven-day service regularity

Bus spacing and bunching

Headway CV means coefficient of variation (standard deviation ÷ mean); lower values mean more even spacing. Weekly results are recomputed from additive daily headway totals rather than averaged daily percentages.

Headway CV by hour

CV is the coefficient of variation (standard deviation ÷ mean) for each Pacific hour. Lower is more even.

Trip delivery by day

Trips observed running ÷ trips scheduled, per day. Click a bar to drill into that day.

Delay heatmap by day × hour

Signed median (or p95) delay in minutes per (day, PT hour) bucket, system-wide. Cell labels are rounded to the nearest minute; hover for the precise value. Blue = early, white = on-time, red = late. Cells with fewer than 10 observations are blank.

Per-route delay by hour

Each line = one route's delay across the day (PT hours). All non-limited routes are drawn; the 10 with the worst week-overall median delay are pre-selected (bold-colored). Click any chip below to add or remove a route.

On Time Service Delivered by route × day

Routes sorted by scheduled eligible stops in the week (busiest first). Each label shows the week's median delay and scored-stop count n. Each cell is the per-day On Time Service Delivered percentage. Click a cell to drill into that day's view.

Limited routes average fewer than 10 scheduled runs per active service day. Lettered Transbay routes are always included.

How On Time Service Delivered is computed: every scheduled intermediate passenger-pickup stop is evaluated, including stops on wholly unobserved trips. Route origins, final terminals, and stops where GTFS prohibits pickup are excluded. A stop counts toward the metric only when the bus arrived between 1 minute early and 7 minutes late (−60 s ≤ delay ≤ 420 s). Colour scale: green ≥ 95%, orange at 90%, red at 80–75%, darkest red ≤ 65%.
